Critical Warning (16248): Pin XXX is placed too close with ADC pins. I/O pins place too near to ADC pins will cause performance degradation on ADC sampling. Please reassign the pin assignment further away from ADC pins and re-run the compilation again.

    Description

    Due to a problem with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software Standard version 20.1 and earlier, you may encounter this critical warning when using Intel® MAX® 10 devices in package M153, U169, U324, F256, F484 and F672, when assigning GPIO pins in I/O Bank 2 and if the dedicated analog input (ANAIN1 or ANAIN2) or any dual function ADC I/O pins are used as ADC channel inputs.

    Resolution

    You may safely ignore this critical warning message. This problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Software Standard Edition software version 21.1.
