For ordering a Fast On Cyclone® II device you will need to order a Cyclone II device with the "A" designation. (For example when ordering you will use EP2C15AF256I8N instead of EP2C15F256I8N). Not all Cyclone II devices will offer this option.
The “A” designation signifies a Fast On device that has a faster Power on Reset (POR) time enabling the FPGA to be operational in a shorter period of time than regular Cyclone II parts. These parts meet the 50 ms automotive fast on requirment. These devices have tighter power supply requirements than normal Cyclone II devices. All other features and timing parameters are identical to the regular Cyclone II family.
