How do I choose a power supply for Stratix® II devices?

Stratix II devices require power supplies to meet core voltage (V_CCINT), pre-driver voltage (V_CCPD), and input output voltage (V_CCIO) requirements. The specifications for these voltages can be found in the Stratix II Handbook, Volume 1, Chapter 5.

An estimate of required power for each power supply can be obtained using the PowerPlay Power Analyzer in Quartus® II software. User modes will define the static and dynamic currents required from the supplies. The power supply must ensure ramp-up current requirements are met.
