    Critical Issue

    Description

The IP Compiler for PCI Express r2c_err0 signal should be asserted to indicate an uncorrectable ECC error on virtual channel 0. However, this signal toggles frequently when no error is present, and toggles even if the ECC encoder and decoder are disabled.

This issue affects all IP Compiler for PCI Express HIP variations that target a Cyclone IV device.

    Resolution

To work around this issue, ensure that your design ignores the IP Compiler for PCI Express r2c_err0 signal output from the affected variations.

This issue is fixed in version 11.1 of the IP Compiler for PCI Express.
