Description
Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software versions 14.1 and 15.0, you may see this error when compiling a design that includes the ALTGX_RECONFIG IP and targets Arria® II GX, Arria II GZ, Cyclone® IV or Stratix® IV devices.
The error occurs when the number of channels controlled by the reconfiguration controller exceeds six for Arria II GX and Arria II GZ, four for Cyclone IV GX or six for Stratix IV.
Resolution
To work around this problem, either compile your design using the Quartus II software version 14.0 or ensure that you do not exceed the relevent number of channels controlled by your reconfiguration controller.
This problem is fixed beginning with version 15.0 Update 1 of the Quartus II software.
