Description

Code 31 displays in the device manager for Intel® Smart Sound Technology (Intel® SST) OED.

Resolution

Enable HD-Audio DSP in BIOS:

Press F2 during boot to enter BIOS Setup
Go to Advanced > Devices > Onboard Devices
Enable HD-Audio DSP or Audio DSP.
Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup.

Additional information

BIOS version 0051 added support for hands free Alexa*, but caused the error on Intel® Smart Sound Technology (Intel® SST) OED in Device Manager.
