How to Work Around Intel Unite® Server Error Message: Intel Unite Health Monitor (ClockTower) failed to start. Verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services
What am I seeing?
When including a semicolon (;) character in the Intel Unite® server service account password, the installer shows the following error:
Intel Unite Health Monitor (ClockTower) failed to start. Verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services. The installation halts.
How do I reproduce this issue?
- Start the Unite server installer.
- For the UniteServer user, enter a password with a semicolon (;) included, for example:
oam)30_)X2D;asd
What does the error message look like?
How to fix it
By using a password that doesn't include the semicolon (;) (and follows the password rules), the installer works normally. Replace the semicolon (;) with another character or eliminate all instances of the semicolon (;) from the password.
