1. Introduction

This document discusses short term temperature excursions for Intel® Stratix® 10 and Intel Agilex® 7 (F-Series and I-Series) FPGAs.

Such excursions allow operation at a junction temperature higher than the data sheet specification. This condition is supported for a limited time in exceptional cases such as in case of temporary equipment failure. The extended temperature range of 0°C up to 100°C and the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 100°C supports continuous operation over 11.4 years. Temperature excursion allows such devices to operate between 100°C and 110°C for short periods of time.
