Intel IT’s mission
Many of us use a variety of devices both in our work life and personal life. Wouldn't it be great if you could access the information you needed anywhere, anytime, and on whatever device you happened to be using at that moment? And imagine if the information was delivered in a secure and useful fashion for the particular device you were using?
Intel IT is working towards enabling this continuum of personalized computing experiences for Intel employees. Our goal is for employees to have seamless and secure access to both corporate and personal services, applications, and data on a wide range of devices.

Client-aware services in the cloud
Intel IT is transforming our application delivery model to enable the back-end cloud and the front-end client to work together to support an increasing number of combinations of operating systems, devices, and computing models. Learn how we are working towards our goal to allow users to have seamless, secure access to cloud-based corporate and personal applications and services across the broad range of devices that make up the compute continuum. For additional information read our paper "Enabling Emerging Enterprise Usages with Client-Aware Technologies".
Inside IT: Client in the cloud
In this podcast, listen to experts from Intel IT discuss how the client is playing a key role in creating our cloud computing strategy , and how Intel IT is balancing what needs to be secure and delivered centrally, vs what needs to be delivered locally for the best user compute experience.
Applying client-aware technologies for desktop virtualization and cloud services
As Intel IT develops the private cloud, we are also looking at client-aware technologies that take advantage of end-point device capabilities. As consumerization is increasing the device choices available to our employees, we believe there will be no best one-size-fits-all approach to delivering services from the cloud.

Delivering cloud-based services in a bring-your-own environment
As Intel IT builds cloud infrastructure and enables cloud services, one of our goals is to make those services available to as broad a range of devices as possible. We are integrating our cloud computing efforts with our bring-your-own device initiatives, enabling Intel to obtain the maximum business value from both.
Why the device matters in a cloud-centric world
As service and data move to the cloud, Intel IT has found that the end-point device is not only retaining its relevancy, but is also becoming even more important. This belief runs contrary to the industry assumption that the abstraction of services and data from a device make the end-point device less relevant.

Improving security and mobility for personally owned devices
Intel IT has made significant progress in responding to the growing demand for use of personally owned devices, such as smart phones, tablets and PCs in the Intel work environment. To support this initiative, we have developed an end-to-end security model that calculates to what degree a personally owned device can be trusted and then dynamically moves users to the appropriate security level.
