Ubuntu* Installation Guide for Intel® Atom™ Processor-Based Systems

  1. Choose your preferred language and click on ''Install Ubuntu”.

  2. Select your location and click 'Forward' to proceed.

  3. Select your preferred keyboard layout.

  4. At this point, select “Specify Partitions manually (advanced)”. WARNING: Selecting “Erase and use the entire disk” will delete the partitioning structure created earlier in the guide.

  5. You will see a screen similar to the following:

  6. Right-click on each partition where Linux will be installed, and select “Edit partition”.
  7. For each partition, select “EXT3 journaling file system” from the “Use as:” dropdown box.
  8. Select “/” from the “Mount point:” dropdown box.
  9. Right-click on your Linux* swap partition and select “Edit partition”.
  10. Select “swap area” from the “Use as:” dropdown box.
  11. Linux* is now configured to install on the correct partitions. Click Next to continue.
  12. Enter your account and password details.

  13. Review your options and click on “Install”.
