Overclocking Unlocked Processors

Extreme Performance. Ultimate Overclocking.

The Intel® Core™ i7-3960X processor Extreme Edition and Core™ i7-3930K processor are on the most powerful and most flexible desktop platform from Intel®.  And, with powerful and easy-to-use overclocking capabilities, the Core™ i7-2600K and the Intel® Core™ i5-2500K unlocked1 processors5 bring amazing stability and flexibility to the mainstream. Now, users can change the core multiplier–as if it were simply an additional “knob” to turn–allowing for more flexible overclocking. This improves stability because it requires less voltage to overclock just the cores. In the past, users had to use the base clock for overclocking, requiring more voltage while creating instability in the rest of the processor. But not anymore. For flexible overclocking, the sky is now the limit.
